Not Another Book?

Yes, I am well aware of the fact that it is the second week of March and I am just getting to my book give away. It is not because I have not thought about it a great deal, which I have. Rather, I just have a hard time getting creative with ideas for the contest. Many readers told me that my choice for the February give away was hard and a little bit too time consuming. Based on that I am trying to simplify this one. Since I love to find new Authors the March challenge will go with that in mind. Here is what to do: Post the name of your favorite author and why. It use to be that I believed being a writer would be a fantastic profession. I loved to find ways to make words pop out and "off" the page if you will. Time has taught me that the art of writing is much more than just knowing what to say and how to say it. Writing takes research, study, and a little of what I call a "gift." Appropriately, I have put the ideal of becoming a writer aside replacing it with my love to read what those who have this "gift" have written instead. The reason that I bring this up is because of the book that I am currently reading. Not a huge fan of fantasy I rarely rent movies or even read books that walk along those lines. Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter are not common names here in my home. But once in a while I receive books that pull me in because the cover looks fun. There is more to why I stay away from Fantasy and that has to do with the fact that they are hard reads. It is amazing to me that people who can write can write in
