What? You've read a book?!

Yes, friends it is sadly true...life has afforded me little time and perhaps even less brain power to actually read. Although I still consider it my greatest hobby - well let's just say that I am hoping the road ahead in 2011 will provide more...and let's leave it at that.

But before I go I do have a book for you!! A fantastic read, super character development, great narrative with both drama and comedy mixed into the plot. In my opinion it is a true literary feat!

As you browse the bookshelves at your local bookstore take a few minutes and pick up a copy of The Passion of Mary-Margret. Truly Lisa Samson impressed me and I look forward to reading more in the future. But when you laugh - and trust me you will laugh - email me and share it. The humor in this read is definitely worth sharing!

I am not currently reviewing a book/author or even reading Christian fiction at the moment. It is an interesting break from the normal and I am enjoying selecting the titles right now. Since I rarely read in the secular market it is often difficult for me to find authors that are enjoyable or to my tastes. In May or perhaps early of this year I was lent a copy of Twilight by Stephanie Meyers . Wait! Hold on! If you are completely rolling your eyes at this point and believe that I have joined the teen band wagon let me get just a few words in edgewise here. Thank you. I had no real desire to read it because, as you, I had no desire to join the throng of teens and even pre-teens obsessing over this book/saga. Another Book Give Away - Let's explore!

I have been sitting idle for a while on the whole book contest/give away idea mainly because so many people just email me "hey, I'll take a free book." The point of the contest is to learn more about books and reading right!? With that said, I don't really want to hear that you will accept a free book. I am sure that lots of people would take a free book. All of that said, let's try another book give away for Fall. Here is the requirement: I want to hear about what you read this summer. It does not have to be fiction, Christian, or even a book. Perhaps you read a great magazine article. Share you favorite read from this summer and why.
