Sadly book three has come and gone and I am in a certain state of missing both Katniss and Peeta. Gale, hmmm. Something about Gale left me wondering if his story would surface someday? If you have no clue what I am talking about I recommend you run out and purchase all three books! Do it now before the movie. Don't let Hollywood create your first impressions of this storyline. The details in the books are too vast and the story too painful. Trust me! You will miss so much. Don't forget to come back and let me know what you think - Will Gale rise up to tell his side? Part of me hopes so!

I have been sitting idle for a while on the whole book contest/give away idea mainly because so many people just email me "hey, I'll take a free book." The point of the contest is to learn more about books and reading right!? With that said, I don't really want to hear that you will accept a free book. Could a world without Reading be our future?

As you watch the flex and flow of technology do you wonder how long each item will last? 10 years ago cell phones were a commodity today a necessity. Home PC were a luxury, today a demand. But even with the changes it makes me wonder - are we getting smarter or more lazy? Is communication really at an all time high or are our communication skills in a face to face setting - person to person - diminishing? The studies have shown that depression and the like are truly on the rise. Then the other day, I received a bombshell email....Disney is now offering books that will read the story to you if you would rather not read them yourself. So I asked my husband, "Will kids in the future even need to read? Or will pictures and voices direct them?" To put me back on the reading road again I purchased a new book by one of my favorite authors. Shopping for books is, in my opinion, the best shopping trip around.
